Health Minister places written ‘request’ at the feet of the idol In Yadagiri village

Even as there is a scramble for cabinet posts amid talk of a cabinet expansion/reshuffle, Health Minister B Sriramulu has sought ‘divine intervention’ to make him Deputy Chief Minister. He has beseeched the resident deity of Gonala village in Vadagera taluk of Yadagiri district to make his ‘DCM dream’ come true!
Sriramalu arrived in Yadagiri a day earlier to take part in the Kalaburagi Kalyana Karnataka Utsav. He went straight to Gonala village for a darshan of Gade Durga Devi. On the instructions of the temple priest Mariswamy, he placed his request, written on a piece of paper, at the feet of the idol. The chit said, “Make me, B Sriramulu, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka.” Prior to this, the priest had been invited to the minister’s residence.
Earlier, former minister DK Shivakumar had visited the village for a darshan of the goddess. It is said that DK Shivakumar too wrote a letter requesting the goddess to make him KPCC president.
