Bengaluru: Parts of south interior Karnataka may receive heavy rain from November 2 to 6, according to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre’s latest seven-day outlook based on India Meteorological Department forecasts.
The October 31 warning chart lists heavy rain for coastal and north interior Karnataka on November 3 and 4. The accompanying forecast says the heavy rain is expected at some places in these regions.

For October 31 and November 1, cloudy conditions and light rain at some places are forecast in Kalyana Karnataka and coastal Karnataka. Sunny and dry weather is likely to continue over the rest of the state during this period.
Light to moderate rain is likely at some places across Karnataka from November 2, the centre said. The south interior subdivision’s warning chart carries heavy-rain warnings for each day from November 2 through November 6.
The chart also lists thunderstorms, lightning and squalls for November 1 to 3 in coastal, north interior and south interior Karnataka. It does not list a warning for October 31 in any of the three subdivisions.
Maximum temperatures may rise above normal in some interior areas, while remaining around normal elsewhere. The forecast also indicates chilly conditions and mist in several parts of the state during the night and early morning.
