In a replay of quarantine-related protests at Bengaluru’s city railway station recently, some flyers from Delhi and Chennai who arrived at Kempegowda International Airport on Monday refused to be quarantined. The row was resolved after the protesting passengers were flown back to their embarkation points.
Seven-day hotel quarantine followed by seven-day home quarantine is mandatory for flyers from 6 high-risk states to Karnataka.
Some of the travellers from Delhi and Chennai had a heated argument with airport officials, demanding home quarantine. The Delhi flyers argued that they had come to Delhi from different states and had then come to Bangalore. Finally, the protestors were flown back to Delhi and Chennai, and the other passengers were sent to hotel quarantine.
