Tel Aviv [Israel], January 8 (ANI/TPS): Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that 3.2 million foreign visitors entered the country in 2023. This was more than the 2.9 million in 2022, but still a great deal less than the 4.6 million in 2019, the last year before the COVID crisis lockdowns. The low number was obviously caused by the war in Gaza that began with the Hamas massacre on October 7.
