In another twist to the ‘sex CD’ case, the parents of the girl featured in the video have filed an abduction complaint in Belagavi’s APMC police station. BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi was constrained to quit his ministerial post after the video was aired on TV channels.
As per sources, the father of the girl works in a private firms in Belagavi and stays in Kuvempu Nagar, which falls under the APMC police station. The girl’s family comprises her parents and two brothers.
“My daughter’s life is in danger — we feel she has been abducted. We don’t know where she is and we request the police to search for her,” Prakash, father of the girl, said in his complaint filed late on Tuesday evening.
Mobile switched off
The family has also released a video to the media in which they claim the girl’s life is at risk and they are not able to trace her. Her mobile number has been switched off, her mother said in the video.
The police have registered a case under IPC sections 363, 368, 343, 346, 354 and 506 based on the complaint lodged by the father.
Two days ago, the Cubbon Park police had a notice pasted on the girl’s relative’s house in Nidagundi in Vijayapura district. She was asked to report to the police station but she has remained inaccessible so far.
