Yediyurappa will review situation in late December
BENGALURU:
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced on Monday that schools and pre-university colleges would not reopen till the end of December.
He said that the decision was taken after the government received reports from the Health Department and the Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19.

Multi-department meeting
The CM’s announcement came after he chaired a meeting of BBMP and the Departments of Education, Health, Rural Development and Transport. “The winter wave is likely to affect children’s health,” he reportedly said after the meeting, adding, “Schools and (pre-university) colleges will remain shut.”

The CM said he would chair another meeting in the third week of December to take stock of the situation vis-a-vis reopening of schools. The advice of the Technical Advisory Committee and the Health Department would be considered before taking a final call, he added.
