Minor girl from Bihar claims she was sexually harassed by her father
BENGALURU:
A minor girl from Bihar, who had run away to escape sexual harassment by her own father, was rescued on Friday by the women’s wing of Bengaluru Division’s Railway Protection Force.
The women’s team, nicknamed ‘Shakti’, rescued the minor from the KSR Bengaluru-Danapur Sanghmitra Special Express (train no. 02295) between Krishnarajapuram and Bangarapet.
On being questioned, the girl said she was a resident of East Champaran (Motihari) in Bihar. She said she had run away from home due to repeated sexual harassment by her father.
Handed over to NGO
The minor was brought to the Bengaluru City Railway Station’s RPF post. After completing the formalities, she was handed in the care of Uma of Bosco Children’s Home.
