BENGALURU: A young couple was caught engaging in inappropriate public display of affection on Platform 3 of the Majestic Metro station. A video capturing their behavior has quickly spread across social media, sparking outrage among viewers.
The video shows the couple standing on Platform 3 of the Majestic Metro station, eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Metro train. The young man was observed engaging in intimate behavior, completely disregarding the presence of other passengers, including women and elderly individuals. Shockingly, he even put his hand inside the girl’s clothes in a lewd manner while she stood by, seemingly unfazed.
Fellow Metro passengers were quick to capture the incident on video, leading to widespread condemnation from onlookers and netizens. Many have expressed their disapproval of the couple’s disrespectful actions, particularly in a public setting like a metro station, deeming it completely unacceptable. Calls for strict action against the couple have been mounting.
The incident has ignited a debate on public decency and the importance of being mindful of one’s surroundings. Pressure is mounting on the Bengaluru police to take action against the couple and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
B L Yashavanth Chavan, chief public relations officer of BMRCL, acknowledged the indecency of the couple’s behavior. He suggested that the person who captured the video could have intervened or alerted security staff to prevent such acts in public places. Efforts are underway to obtain CCTV footage from April 9 to identify the couple and take appropriate action. If located, the couple will face consequences for their actions.
