In a major decision, BBMP has appointed 66-year-old retired principal district session judge Chandrashekhar Patil as the new head of its legal cell. The appointment is with effect from July 1.
An order to this effect was issued by BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath after applications for the civic agency’s top legal post were invited for the second time. The post was advertised earlier during the tenure of Giri Nath’s predecessor Gaurav Gupta.
As per the order, the appointment of Patil is for one year or until the next order.
