BENGALURU:
For the second straight day, Karnataka reported a large number of 3,860 Covid patients being discharged. This has improved the state’s recovery rate to 41.52%, and Bengaluru’s to 32.39%.

On Saturday, the state reported 5,172 fresh cases, taking the total tally to 1,29,287 cases of which 73,219 are active cases and 53,648 have been discharged. While Bengaluru witnessed 1,683 discharges, it also reported 1,852 positive cases for a total caseload of 57,396, of which 37,760 are active and 18,579 have been discharged. The state capital also reported 27 of the 98 deaths statewide.
As per the Karnataka health and family welfare department bulletin, 602 people are receiving treatment in ICUs. The state’s casualty figure till date is 2,412.
