SWR’s Bengaluru DRM tweeted in reply: “Dear Sir, the person in the video has been identified and booked to report to my office. He won’t be engaged for any future Shramik special trains. Necessary disciplinary action will be taken against him. On behalf of Bangalore division, I apologise to the passengers…Please rest assured that this is an isolated case and most of our dedicated railwaymen are serving the passengers to the best of our ability.”

Speaking to thebengalurulive, DRM Ashok Kumar Verma said, “Immediately after getting the information, we sought an explanation from the officer for his rude behaviour. He is from the commercial railway department and was put on duty in the Shramik special train.”
Verma added, “His duty was to collect the mobile number, name and check the seating arrangements. Because of his rude behaviour, he is now under suspension. I have collected the migrant passengers’ numbers and apologised to them.”
