Sandalwoood actress Ragini Dwivedi named as accused No 2 in FIR
BENGALURU:
The CCB police on Thursday arrested actress Ragini Dwivedi’s close friend Ravishankar over allegations of a Sandalwood connection with the drug network.
On Wednesday, Ravishankar, an RTO employee, was grilled by the police as the actress’s name had figured in the probe.
The CCB police have served a second notice to the actress to appear for questioning on Friday at the CCB office. She was supposed to appear before the cops on Thursday but had tweeted that the summons was at short notice and had asked for time till September 7.Â
Ravishankar was earlier grilled before being taken into custody, and will be produced before a judge via video conference.
The current investigations are reportedly based on a statement given to the police by director Indrajit Lankesh.
