Power star Puneeth Rajkumar will be laid to rest next to his father Dr Rajkumar’s samadhi inside Kanteerava Stadium.
The decision was taken after Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held discussions with the late actor’s family members, who expressed a wish for Puneeth to be laid to rest next to his father’s samadhi.
An official communication in this regard was issued by N Manjunatha Prasad, Principal Secretary, Department of Information and Public Relations, who is also Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. The government has directed the Dr Rajkumar Foundation to allocate space for the purpose next to Dr Rajkumar’s samadhi.
“Puneeth Rajkumar passed away today (Friday, Oct 29) afternoon. The Chief Minister has instructed that necessary steps be taken to conduct the burial of Puneeth Rajkumar with government honours close to Dr Rajkumar’s samdhi,” Prasad said in his letter addressed to Department heads.
