Three Portuguese nationals were detained on Sunday for entering the Bandipur Tiger Reserve without permission during the lockdown period.
Speaking to the media, Bandipur Forest Conservation Officer T Balachandra said the trio had acknowledged their error and had said they had entered the forest after losing their way.

A Tiger Reserve staffer had photographed the trespassers. They will be let off after some questioning.
The trio had entered the area riding three Royal Enfield motorbikes. They have been identified as Nuno Bernardes Miranda Paciencia, Angelo Miguel Garrido and Tomas Pinho Marquez.
