The Instagram account, named Bangalore Metro Clicks (@metro_chicks), had amassed over 6,000 followers before police intervention led to the removal of the content. The account featured 14 unsolicited videos and images allegedly captured inside metro coaches and on station premises.
The investigation commenced when police conducted routine checks of social media platforms for suspicious activity. During this review, an officer discovered the Instagram account, which raised immediate concerns regarding the privacy and consent of the individuals depicted.
Authorities confirmed that none of the women featured in the videos appeared to be aware that they were being filmed. The suspect has been arrested and will face further legal action as the investigation continues.
