Tirupati laddoos available in Bengaluru at reduced rates
BENGALURU:
Even as the Tirupati temple stays shut to devotees, the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) board has decided to sell laddoos at subsidised prices.
Laddoos are available at all district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh and at TTD welfare centres and information centres in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Telangana.
Each laddoo weighs 179 grams and costs Rs 40 to make. Laddoos are now being sold at Rs 25 instead of the earlier Rs 50.
Speaking about the effect of the lockdown, the TTD chief said, “There is no shortage of money to pay salaries and pensions to our employees or to maintain the temple.”
