After protest, hospital is vacated and sanitised

BENGALURU:

The staff of Vani Vilas Hospital staged a protest on Saturday over the lack of safety equipment like PPEs and masks.

They were particularly agitated over the fact that a woman who delivered a baby girl on Friday night in the hospital was Covid-19 positive.

After the staff protest, the hospital was vacated and sanitised.

Minister’s assurance

Later, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar visited the hospital and assured the medical staff that all necessary measures for their safety would be taken.
