Tejasvi Surya, MP from Bengaluru South, in association with Basavanagudi MLA LA Ravi Subramanya, Kathriguppe corporator Sangathi Venkatesh and BBMP, has launched the ‘COVID-19 Task Force Home Delivery’ helpline in Kathriguppe (ward 163) for home delivery of essentials.
Until the end of the lockdown period, shops in the ward will only do home deliveries.
Orders can be placed on WhatsApp 080 61914960. A WhatsApp chatbot has also been enabled on the same number.
Kaleyra has provided the WhatsApp chatbot for the helpline, which is manned by call centre employees of [24]7.ai. Cartoon Mango-ITW Consulting developed the platform under the guidance of the office of the MP, Elephant Ear Consulting and iSpirt. Dunzo provides the last-mile delivery.
Citizens may also call their regular traders and request home delivery. If the grocer does not support home delivery, he or she may call the helpline for items to be picked up from the shop and delivered.
Customers have to send their name and their Google Maps delivery location or delivery address. In case of medicines, the user may attach a photo of the prescription.
To facilitate genuine requests, the home delivery service is restricted to two orders per week.
