Yediyurappa inspects TenderSure and Smart City works in Bengaluru, pats officials

BENGALURU:

With the July 26 ‘deadline’ for his possible resignation approaching, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa conducted his last inspection of various projects executed by BBMP and several Smart City projects in Bengaluru.

The CM’s inspection tour was also a chance for BBMP and Smart City officials to pat themselves on the back as several projects have been completed and are open for public use.

Yediyurappa’s recce started from the Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Krishna’ and headed towards Anand Rao Circle, Gandhi Nagar, to inspect the white-topping of roads that had been completed more than two years ago.

New-look Commercial Street

Later, he visited Nayandahalli junction and appreciated the white-topping work there. He also visited the newly laid Commercial Street — a stretch of 0.46 km developed on the lines of Church Street at a cost of Rs 5.41 crore and thrown open to the public on Friday.

Yediyurappa also visited the new white-topped road in CV Raman Nagar assembly constituency — a 1.9 km stretch of CV Raman Hospital Road in Indiranagar which was formally inaugurated in the presence of MLA S Raghu.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness over the projects being executed in the city and said there was no shortage of funds for Bengaluru’s development. He claimed that the roads which are being developed under the Smart City and TenderSure modules will not have potholes for the next 20 years.

The CM also referred to the drains that are being developed according to international standards. He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the ‘K-100’ waterway project.
