No Government Order on Outsourced Staff Continuation: Karnataka Issues Clarification
Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has issued a clarification stating that no official order has been released regarding the continuation of services of outsourced staff.
According to the Finance Department, a fake memorandum, purportedly resembling an official communication, has been circulated on social media. The document, bearing a fabricated reference number AI/Seni/08/2026 dated March 24, 2026, was falsely created and shared widely, misleading the public.
Officials noted that several media outlets, online platforms, and social media users published and circulated the information without verifying its authenticity.
In an official statement, Under Secretary of the Finance Department, M. Rajamma, clarified that the government has not issued any such order or memorandum. She emphasized that the circulated document is entirely fake and not authorized by the government.
The department has urged the public and media organizations to verify information from official sources before sharing or publishing such documents, to prevent the spread of misinformation.
