BENGALURU: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 11 locations across four states in connection with the Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. The raids were part of a coordinated effort to uncover the entire conspiracy behind the attack and identify other individuals involved in handling the accused from abroad.

The extensive searches took place in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The NIA targeted premises linked to 11 suspects, including individuals previously convicted in the 2012 Lashkar-e-Taiba conspiracy case in Bengaluru and Hubli districts.

The Rameshwaram Cafe blast, which occurred on March 1 on ITPL Road in Bengaluru, left several customers and staff members injured and caused significant property damage. The NIA seized various digital devices and documents during the searches, which are currently being examined.

The NIA took over the case from the Karnataka State Police on March 3 and arrested two accused, Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha, in Kolkata on April 12. The duo, residents of Thirthahalli, Shivamogga district, were identified as the perpetrator and mastermind of the attack, respectively.
