New rly station to serve private client

BENGALURU:

A railway station dedicated to a private company was inaugurated on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, SWR Divisional Manager Ashok Kumar Verma said the Maranayakanahalli station will be the private freight terminal of Distribution Logistics Infrastructure Private Ltd.

The station is situated between Hosur and Anekal stations on SWR’s Bengaluru-Salem section. The station will increase the line capacity of the Byappanahalli-Omalur section.
