BENGALURU:

An order from the Muzrai Department prohibits the sale of all tobacco products, including gutka and cigarettes, within 100 metres of any temple that is under its purview.

Due to the fact that temples are spiritual locations, it has been decided to create an atmosphere that is suitable for religious activity. The state Congress’ decision was applauded in a post by the administration.

“Our government will take strict action against the sale of any tobacco products, including gutka cigarettes, within 100 metres around the temples of Muzrai department,” the Karnataka Congress posted on X.
