BENGALURU: The Lokanat Singh murder case has taken a shocking turn with his mother-in-law and Yashaswini’s mother, Hemavva, revealing a dark face of the realtor. She alleged that Singh had affairs with multiple women and that he was a sexual predator.
Lokanat, a real estate businessman from Soladevanahalli, was found dead with his throat slit. It is alleged that his mother-in-law, Hemavva, was behind the murder.
Lokanat had married Yashaswini in December after blackmailing her family. However, after the marriage, he was found to be in relationships with several women. The businessman became close to Hemavva’s daughter when she was young; he made a video and blackmailed her. He threatened that he would release her private videos if she did not marry him.
Lokanath had a registered marriage Yashaswini last December. All his affairs were exposed after marriage. He spoke vulgarly about his mother-in-law with his wife and exposed his sexual urge. The mother-daughter duo had planned the murder after discovering Lokanat’s infidelity, sources said.
Hemavva had even purchased a book titled ‘How to Kill’ and had read it completely. Hemavva called her son-in-law through her daughter and then followed the son-in-law’s car. They gave him sleeping pills in his dinner after he had consumed liquor. As he was asleep, she slit Lokanat Singh’s throat, Hemavva said during police questioning.
