BENGALURU:
In recognition of Shankar Nag’s contribution to Kannada cinema and theatre, as well as his interest in the state’s welfare, an appeal has been made to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa that a metro station in Bengaluru be named after the late actor-director.
On June 12, Rajya Sabha member GC Chandrashekhar wrote to the CM in this regard, as well as to the BBMP Commissioner and Mayor.
The MP has requested that the Malleswaram metro station be named after Shankar Nag.
