More oxygen trains arrive in Karnataka
Indian Railways has created signal-free corridor for swift movement of the life-saving cargo
BENGALURU:
The second Oxygen Express for Karnataka dispatched by Indian Railways reached ICD Whitefield at 3.20 am on Saturday. It had started 24 hours earlier from Kalinganagar in Jajapur district of Odisha.
The third Oxygen Express from Tatanagar, Jharkhand at 12.40 pm on Friday reached ICD Whitefield at 5.10 pm on Saturday.
The Third #OxygenExpress to Karnataka, with 120T Oxygen from Tatanagar, reached ICD Whitefield, Bengaluru at 5:10 PM.

The quick movement of the life-saving oxygen was thanks to a signal-free corridor created by the Railways.
Each train was carrying 6 cryogenic containers, with each container carrying 20 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen (LMO).
So far, Karnataka has received 360 tonnes of LMO by rail.
