BENGALURU:

Even as the HC has directed that non-KAS officers working in BBMP be repatriated to their  parent departments, some MLAs are pressuring the government to postpone the transfers, saying their services are needed during this pandemic period.

The BBMP Officers and Employees’ Welfare Association had approached the HC for repatriation of non-KAS officers on deputation to BBMP as Joint Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners.

The High Court had directed that these officers to be recalled to the parent departments in accordance with the Ordinance and Recruitment Rules, 2020.

The BBMP administration had written to the government to recall the non-qualified officials to the parent departments.

The officers scheduled for repatriation are D Narasimha Murthy of Dasarahalli Zone, N Chidanand of West Zone, Veerabhadraswamy of South Zone and M Ramakrishna of Bommanahalli.

Sarfaraz Khan, Joint Commissioner, SWM, KV Pallavi, Joint Commissioner of East Zone, SG Rajasekhar, Deputy Commissioner of Yelahanka Zone, K Shivegowda of Rajarajeshwari Nagar and N Raju of East Zone are also scheduled for transfer.
