BENGALURU:

Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil on Friday said a high-level ministerial committee would be constituted to steer collaboration between industry and academia in the state.

Speaking as a chief guest at the curtain raiser event for the launch of RIM-XCEED (Ramaiah Institute of Management Executive Education Programmes), he said that the intended committee will be comprised of ministers of higher education, medical education, small industries, health and skill development.

Underscoring, significant progress can be achieved if industry and academia go hand in hand, the minister asked the industrialists to maintain interaction with the to-be-formed ministerial committee. “The committee would pave for meaningful collaborations,” he said.
