Bengaluru: The government has appointed Major P. Manivannan, Principal Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, as the new BDA Commissioner. He officially assumed his responsibilities on Saturday.
Following a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar in Sadashivanagar, the Deputy Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Manivannan in his new role.
Manivannan succeeds N. Jayaram, who retired from the position of BDA Commissioner on Saturday, May 31. A officer from the 1998 batch, Manivannan brings a wealth of experience to this critical role in urban development.
