Tumakuru: In a shocking crime that has stunned residents, a man was allegedly murdered by his mother-in-law in collusion with his late wife’s lover in Dandipur village of Madhugiri taluk in Tumakuru district.

The victim, identified as Narasimhamurthy, had married Sujatha three years ago. Sujatha, who worked in a garment factory, had reportedly developed a close relationship with a man named Amar, a native of Andhra Pradesh. The friendship is said to have later turned into an illicit relationship.

Sources revealed that Sujatha passed away around two and a half months ago due to illness. However, Amar continued to remain in contact with her family and frequently visited their house, claiming a close connection. This reportedly led to frequent disputes between Narasimhamurthy and Amar, as the husband opposed his visits.

Angered by the ongoing conflicts, the victim’s mother-in-law Jayamma allegedly hatched a plan to eliminate him. She is said to have conspired with her son and Amar to carry out the murder.

On the night of the incident, Amar reportedly came to the village and organized a chicken party. During this gathering, Narasimhamurthy was allegedly made to consume excessive alcohol. He was then taken to a secluded location, where he was murdered.

After the crime, the accused allegedly dumped the body in front of the village and attempted to stage the incident as a case of drunken collapse. However, suspicion arose when injuries and blood marks were noticed on the body. Police were alerted, and during questioning, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime.

Police officials stated that the murder was pre-planned and executed due to personal enmity. All those involved have been taken into custody, and a case has been registered. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against the accused.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the village, highlighting a disturbing case of betrayal and brutality within a family.
