Man brutally assaults wife, son suspecting her fidelity

Date:

BENGALURU: A man brutally assaulted his wife and her son with a portable water heater, causing injuries to their faces, hands and back. Jyothi and her 8-year-old son are currently undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital.

The husband, Dhananjay, allegedly assaulted them in a drunken state, beating her son mercilessly and asking him where his mother had gone.

Jyothi resided in the Madanayakanahalli police station area and had married Dhananjay after her first marriage failed. Dhananjay would often suspect Jyothi’s fidelity and beat her while drunk. Two days ago, he brutally assaulted her, leaving her barely able to walk.

The Child Protection Unit of Yelahanka North Zone has intervened in the matter, providing medical treatment to the 8-year-old boy and is planning to file a complaint against Dhananjay.

Jyothi is seeking justice, demanding that Dhananjay be punished for his cruelty and that she and her child be protected from him. She is currently suffering from physical and emotional trauma due to the injuries.

Jyothi alleged that her husband used to constantly quarrel with her and suspect her character, assaulting her under the influence of liquor. “He even beat up children using a stick, wire, and belt for no mistake. I cannot express how much pain I feel in my body. I cannot even get up, he beat me on the head, he tortured me very badly. I do not have money, he does not give money to home”, she added.
