KOLAR: The Gulpet police have arrested an accused wanted in an assault and threat case after 27 years. The accused is Pyarejan, a resident of Kote Extension in the city.
In 1998, a case was registered against Pyarejan under IPC Sections 334, 504, 506 and 527 after assault, threat and property damage. He has now been remanded to judicial custody after his arrest based on specific information.
The efforts of police constable Manjunath, who played a vital role in cracking the case, were appreciated by the Kolar SP Nikhil B.
