54 special vaccination centres will function for 20 days to mark Narendra Modi’s 20 years in public office

BENGALURU:

To mark the celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday on September 17, as well as his 20 years in public office, as many as 54 special Covid-19 vaccination centres, including a 24/7 centre, will inoculate eligible beneficiaries in Malleswaram till October 7.

The 24/7 vaccination centre at the Kodandaramapura kabaddi ground will function for almost three months.

Vaccination record on PM’s watch

Dr CN Ashwath Narayana, Minister for Higher Education and IT/BT and S&T, who is also MLA of the constituency, while inaugurating the vaccination centres on Friday, said that under the able supervision of the Prime Minister, the country has vaccinated more than 75 crore citizens with at least one dose. “The Covid-19 crisis has led to the ramp-up of health infrastructure across the entire country,” he said.
