Lady tahsildar cracks down on namaz group

Despite the state wakf board banning congregational prayers in mosques till the end of the lockdown on May 3, violations continue.
On Friday, Kolar tahsildar Shobhita cracked the whip when she came to know of a prayer gathering at a mosque in Kolar city.
Notwihstanding religious injunctions against women entering mosques, the lady officer entered the shrine with the aim of nabbing a group of 11 persons inside.

As Shobitha entered the mosque, in front of the municipal hospital, she was heard saying, “Who told you to perform namaz during the lockdown? Don’t you all know that you should not do it? Lock them all here. Nobody should be left out from here.”
The video of the tahsildar entering the mosque has gone viral on social media.Â
