KSRTC’s ‘virus’ loss Rs 3.94 cr

BENGALURU:

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has suffered a Rs 3.94 crore loss, including premium and non-premium buses in March so far due to the Covid-19 scare.

A KSRTC release said it has cancelled 92 inter-state night premium services like Tirupati, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mantralaya, Ooty, Kodaikanal and Panaji after ridership reduced by 20 per cent on the weekend.

According to the corporation, daily bookings have fallen from 22,000- 23,000 seats to 12,000-13,000.
