KEA to Begin Applications for 3,991 Police Constable (Civil) Posts from June 10; Candidates Advised to Keep Certificates Ready
Bengaluru, June 8: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 3,991 Police Constable (Civil) posts, with the online application process set to begin on June 10, 2026.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, IAS, has advised eligible and interested candidates to keep all required documents ready before the application window opens.
Reservation Certificates Mandatory for SC Candidates
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes must ensure that they possess the appropriate caste certificates under the internal reservation categories and enter the relevant RD number while submitting the application.
The notification specifies the following categories:
- SC-A
- SC-B
- SC-C
Rural, Kannada Medium and Other Claims
Candidates seeking reservation benefits under special categories must keep the required certificates ready in the prescribed format.
The categories include:
- Rural quota
- Kannada Medium quota
- Ex-servicemen
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
- Other applicable reservation categories
General category candidates intending to claim the Rural Quota must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate.
Documents to be Uploaded
KEA has instructed applicants to keep the following documents ready:
- Aadhaar Card
- Educational qualification certificates and marks cards
- Caste certificate (where applicable)
- Reservation-related certificates
- Rural quota certificate
- Kannada Medium study certificate
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (where applicable)
- Other supporting documents as prescribed
Photograph and Signature Requirements
Candidates must ensure that the photograph and signature uploaded with the application are within the prescribed size limit of 50 KB each.
Vacancy Break-up
Out of the total 3,991 vacancies:
- 596 posts are reserved under the Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) quota
- 3,395 posts fall under the Non-HK quota
The last date for submission of online applications is July 3, 2026.
