Karnataka Wins Excellence Award for Millet Procurement in Kharif Marketing Season 2025-26
Bengaluru: Karnataka has received the ‘Excellence Award’ for its performance in the procurement of Shree Anna (millets) during the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2025-26.
The award was presented to Karnataka at the State Food Secretaries’ Conference held on Wednesday in recognition of the State’s achievement in millet procurement.
The recognition comes amid efforts by the Karnataka government and the Food Department to strengthen the procurement of millets and other small millets across the State.
Congratulating the Karnataka Food Department team, the government described the award as recognition of the department’s continued efforts to promote and strengthen millet procurement.
