Karnataka sees 48 COVID-19 cases, no death; active tally now 232

BENGALURU:

Karnataka on Saturday reported 48 COVID-19 cases, which took the state’s tally to 40,73,616 while the death toll stood unchanged at 40,269, a health official statement said.

Bengaluru Urban led with 25 new cases, followed by six in Kolar, four each in Kodagu and Mysuru, three each in Chitradurga and Shivamogga district, one each in Ballari, Chikkamagaluru and Davangere, he said.

The state with 140 232 active cases, including 130 in Bengaluru, 21 in Mysuru, 17 in Shivamogga, 11 each in Kodagu and Koppala and other district follows.

As per state health department data, the weekly positivity rate is 1.07 per cent and the weekly fatality rate is 0.29 per cent.

So far, 7,01,31,291 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the state, including 4,432 in the last 24 hours.
