Karnataka | Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Issues Order Suspending 27 Engineers
BENGALURU:
The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department took decisive action on Thursday by issuing separate suspension orders for 27 Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Junior Engineers employed within the department.
These suspensions were a result of the officers’ neglect of duty as they failed to report to their newly assigned transfer positions.
The department has implemented these suspensions in accordance with Rule 10(1) (d) of the Civil Service Rules, 1957. All these officers have been suspended pending further departmental inquiry. The suspended officials have been instructed to immediately vacate their positions.
The list of suspended officers includes 5 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE), 7 Assistant Engineers (AE), and 15 Junior Engineers (JE), as stated in a release from the department.
