Bengaluru sees 23,106 cases, 161 deaths
BENGALURU:
Karnataka on Wednesday reported 50,112 COVID-19 deaths and 346 related deaths, taking the total caseload and fatalities to 17.41 lakh and 16,884 respectively, the health department said.
Bengaluru Urban alone accounted for 23,106 infections.
The day also saw 26,841 patients getting discharged.
Cumulatively, 17,41,046 positive cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, which includes 16,884 deaths and 12,36,854 discharges, a health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 4,87,288.
Mysuru followed Bengaluru Urban in number of infections with 2,790, while it was 2,335 in Tumakuru, 1,655 in Udupi, 1,621 in Mandya, 1,604 in Hassan, 1,529 Dakshina Kannada, 1,097 in Kalaburagi, 1,030 in Dharwad, 927 in Ballari, 920 in Belagavi.
Among the 346 deaths reported on Wednesday, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 161, while 19 each were from Ballari and Mandya, 15 each from Kalaburagi and Uttara Kannada, 12 in Tumakuru, 11 in Hassan, 10 in Mysuru followed by other districts.
