Bengaluru sees 20,897 cases, 281 deaths
BENGALURU:
Karnataka on Sunday reported 47,930 COVID-19 deaths and 490 related deaths, taking the total caseload and fatalities to 19.34 lakh and 18,776 respectively, the health department said.
Bengaluru Urban alone accounted for 20,897 infections.
The day also saw 31,796 patients getting discharged in Karnataka while Bengaluru urban witnessed 15,000 discharges
Cumulatively, 19,34,378 positive cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, which includes 18,776 deaths and 13,51,097 discharges, a health department bulletin said.

Active cases in state stood at 5,64,485 while Bengaluru has 3,50,370 cases.
Hassan followed Bengaluru Urban in number of infections with 2,349, while it was 2,141 in Ballari, 2,001 in Tumakuru, 1,959 in Mandya, 1,854 in Mysuru, 1,694 in Dakshina Kannada, 1,315 in Bagalkot, 1,062 in Kalaburagi, followed by other districts.
Among the 490 deaths reported on Sunday, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 281, 21 in Ballari, 17 each in Shivamogga and Tumakuru, 15 in Chamarajanagar,13 each in Mysuru and Ramangar, 12 in Kalaburagi, followed by other districts.
