Bengaluru: The state is witnessing a concerning increase in COVID-19 cases, with 42 individuals testing positive in the last 24 hours. This surge has brought the total number of confirmed cases to 253.
Tragically, one death related to COVID-19 has been reported today. Since January 2025, there have been a total of two fatalities attributed to the virus. Currently, there are 148 active cases in the state, while 19 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

According to the health department, a total of 103 individuals have recovered and been released from hospitals since January 1 of this year.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 513 tests were conducted, comprising 463 RT-PCR tests and 50 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT). The positivity rate stands at 8.18%, with a mortality rate of 2.3%.
As the situation evolves, the health authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and adhere to safety protocols to curb the spread of the virus.
