BENGALURU: In a recent state cabinet meeting, a bill proposing job reservation for Kannadigas in the private sector was approved. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the initiative, but on Wednesday he also mentioned that the implementation of the employment bill has been temporarily halted.
The office of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed the media via a WhatsApp message, and later the Chief Minister posted on social media stating that the bill intended to provide reservation for Kannadigas in private sector institutions, industries, and enterprises is still in the preparation stage. A final decision will be made after a comprehensive discussion in the next cabinet meeting.
