COVID-19: 1,488 new cases in Karnataka, 8 deaths
BENGALURU:
Karnataka recorded 7,908 new cases and 103 deaths on Friday. This takes the total number of active cases in the state to 80,884.
As per the bulletin released by the Health Department on Friday, 56,638 Covid tests were conducted in the state. 5,257 people were discharged from various hospitals. Bengaluru reported 2,452 positives and 22 deaths. Tech City also witnessed 463 discharges. Bengaluru now has 35,115 active cases.
The bulletin said 747 people are receiving treatment in ICUs.
Friday’s positive cases in other districts: Ballari 608, Shivamogga 413, Davanagere 351, Belagavi 334, Udupi 322, Dakshina Kannada 307, Mysuru 291, Kalaburagi 229, Raichuru 220, Dharwad 219, Gadag 190, Tumakuru 185, Bagalakot 171, Mandya 163, Koppal 162, Hassan 158, Vijayapura 144, Haveri 138, Yadagiri 116, Chikkamagalur 104, Bidar 97, Uttara Kannada 87, Ramanagara 87, Kolar 81, Chitradurga 77, Chamarajanagar 61, Kodagu 60, Chikkaballapur 42 and Bengaluru Rural 39.
Karnataka conducted 56,638 tests today.
