Kharola retired as Civil Aviation Secretary on Sept 30; he had been Air India CMD and Bengaluru Metro MD

Karnataka’s 1985 batch IAS officer Pradeep Singh Kharola retired from the service on September 30. He retired as Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Kharola was previously CMD of Air India and MD of Bengaluru Metro, apart from handling various other posts during his 31 years of service.

Born on September 15, 1961, he was first appointed as Assistant Commissioner, Haveri in 1987. Later he worked as Mysore City Corporation Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), Deputy Commissioner (Dakshina Kannada-Belagavi), BMTC MD, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister (2012-13).
