Bengaluru: The Justice P.N. Desai Commission, which investigated alleged irregularities in site allotments by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), has given a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil announced on Friday.

Speaking to reporters after the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha, Patil said the Desai Commission was constituted by the state government to probe allegations of illegal site distribution in MUDA.

“The Commission carried out a detailed inquiry and submitted its report to the government. The report does not mention any charges against the Chief Minister or his family. However, it recommends action against certain officials. The cabinet has accepted these recommendations and will initiate appropriate steps,” Patil stated.

The minister also confirmed that the cabinet has received the inquiry report submitted by the Justice H.N. Nagamohan Das Commission, which investigated allegations of irregularities and corruption in BBMP projects.

“The discussion on this report remained incomplete today. A final decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting after a detailed debate,” Patil said.
