Bengaluru: BJP leader Pralhad Joshi has criticised increases in Nandini milk and ghee prices in Karnataka, citing a comparison of ₹37 and ₹54 per litre for toned milk since July 2023.
His ₹17 comparison includes an ₹8 increase he cited for November 2026. He also cited increases of ₹3 in July 2023, ₹2 in June 2024 and ₹4 in March 2025.

Joshi also said the price of ghee had risen from ₹610 to ₹715 a litre since the Congress came to power in Karnataka in 2023.
Defending the milk-price increase earlier, Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said it was intended to prevent losses to farmers. He cited higher packaging and transport costs and said the decision followed consultations over demands for a larger increase.
