
Sandeep Patil gets plum post as Bengaluru’s Additional Commissioner of Police (West)
BENGALURU:
As a part of a New Year ‘gift’ to the Karnataka Police Department, the state government has promoted four IPS officers of the 2004 batch to the post of inspector-General of Police.
The officers, Labhu Ram, Sandeep Patil, Dr PS Harsha and Vikash Kumar Vikash, are currently in different posts in the capacity of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Bengaluru, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (West), as the state government has transferred Soumendu Mukherjee with from January 1, 2022.
Harsha, who was working as Commissioner in the Department of Information and Public Relations, will continue in the same, but upgraded, post.
Similarly, Labhu Rram and Vikash Kumar Vikash will continue in their respective posts as Hubballi-Dharwad City Police Commissioner and Managing Director, Mysore Sales International Limited.
Other postings
In the same order, the government has transferred Additional Commissioner of Police (East) S Murugan (1997 batch) and posted him as Additional Director-General of Police (Communications, Logistics and Modernization) in Bengaluru.
Similarly, KV Sharath Chandra (1997 batch), who was working as Inspector-General of Police (Forest Cell), has been transferred and posted as Additional Director-General of Police (CID) in Bengaluru in the upgraded post.
Soumendu Mukherjee (1998 batch), Additional Commissioner of Police (West) has been transferred as IGP (Intelligence) in Bengaluru.
Ravi S (1998 batch), Inspector General of Police, Internal Security Division (Investigation and Counter-Intelligence), is transferred as IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police.
Vipul Kumar (1999 batch), Director of Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru, is transferred as IGP (Internal Security Division) in the existing vacancy.
Dr A Subramanyeswara Rao (2002 batch) is posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (East).
