IPS Officer M.N. Anucheth Appointed Karnataka Information and Public Relations Commissioner
Bengaluru, June 24: The Karnataka Government has appointed M.N. Anucheth, IPS (KN: 2009), as the Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Bengaluru, with immediate effect.
According to a government notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Anucheth has been transferred from his previous position as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Recruitment, and posted to the new assignment following the transfer of Hemant M. Nimbalkar, IPS.
In addition to his new responsibilities at the Department of Information and Public Relations, Anucheth has also been given concurrent charge as Commissioner, Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, with immediate effect. He succeeds Kumar T.H.M., IAS, who has been transferred.
The notification further stated that the posts of Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations, Bengaluru, and Commissioner, Youth Empowerment and Sports Department have been declared equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, under the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
