Hubballi Tragedy: Four Women Killed in Horrific Car Accident

HUBBALLI: A devastating accident near Noolvi Cross on the outskirts of Hubballi claimed the lives of four women on Sunday. The driver lost control of the car, causing it to hit a divider. Three women died instantly, while one passed away in the hospital during treatment.

The victims have been identified as Sujatha Hiremath (60), Gayatri Manthanamath (67), Shakuntala Hiremath (72), and Sampath Kumari (63). All were residents of Lingaraj Nagar in Hubballi. The driver, Viresh Hiremath (65), sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at KIMS Hospital.

The car, traveling from Haveri to Hubballi, veered out of control and collided with the divider, resulting in the tragic deaths of three passengers. Sampath Kumari and Viresh Hiremath were also injured in the crash and were taken to KIMS Hospital. Unfortunately, Sampath Kumari succumbed to her injuries due to inadequate medical care.

The Hubballi Rural Police Station is investigating the accident, which has left the community in mourning.
